“Various” Bible Studies

Except for the first study on the Feasts of Israel, most of these studies are sermon notes given out while teaching a message or series of messages on a topic or a passage. We trust that you will benefit from these. They are intended to be used anywhere that will be honoring to our Lord. I am open to loving and beneficial dialogue concerning these studies; even if you disagree with our conclusions.

The Feasts of Israel and Their Importance to All of Us -  The 23rd chapter of Leviticus tells us of the feasts of the LORD which Moses was told to proclaim to the children of Israel. Are these feasts of any significance to the believer of today who is told that he is “not under law but under grace”? (Rom. 6:14) Are believers of today not to concentrate more on the New Testament; especially the epistles, which were written to the Church?

There is truth to the above statements, but it is only part of the truth.  God’s word tells us in 2nd Timothy 3:16, that, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” (italics added). At the time when the Apostle Paul penned these words, the Hebrew Scriptures (the Old Testament; the Tanakh) were the Scriptures that were available. All of Scripture was not written to us but it is written for us. For example, Adam and Eve were told not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Gen. 2:16, 17). That command obviously does not directly apply to us today but we can certainly learn of the catastrophic results of disobeying God and also can gain some helpful insights from their tragic decision.“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” (Rom. 15:4).

All of God’s word is His revelation to us and is what He wants us to study, know, teach, and apply (2 Tim. 2:15; James 1:22). We believe that it can be biblically established that, not only was Israel to faithfully keep these feasts, but that they are an accurate prophetic timeline of major future events on God’s calendar. These feasts are both commemorative and prophetic. Please follow up these links to MP3 messages and downloadable notes about these feasts. It is very likely that if you just listen to the first one, that you will eagerly anticipate learning more about this widely neglected teaching.
